 Banks  and  Currency  Exchange

Foreign currency may be changed into New Israel Shekels (''Shekalim Hadashim'') and vice versa, at any bank branch or at ''Change'' stands located throughout the cities and the country. Post office branches do not charge commission for this service.

Banks open daily, except Sabbath and holidays, between 8.30 am, and 12.30 p.m. Some banks also open in the afternoons.
