Golf is a reasonably new sport in Israel, even so, there are two golf courses- the Gaash Golf Club and Caesarea Golf & Country. Inevitably in the future there will be more growth of this sport to meet the growing demand with in the country and for tourism, but for now take a look at these.
Just 15 minutes from Tel Aviv is the 70 par Gaash Golf Club. The location is beautiful, surrounded by the Gaash Nature Reserve and the Sharon National Park. There are 9 greens and 18 different trees with a slope rating of 115. As well as the practice range there is also a golf academy and shop along with an excellent restaurant. Definitely recommended.
Half way from Tel Aviv to Haifa (30 minutes drive from each), you will find Caesarea Golf & Country, recently redesigned and updated by Pete Dye. Located close to a beach this is the only 18-hole Golf course in Israel that passes through ancient Roman Byzantine ruins. Conveniently located next door are the holiday apartments of the Neot-Golf Resort, where if staying there, the rest of the family can make full use of the free sauna, swimming pool, fitness room, squash tennis and mini-golf, in case you fancy a little practice!
