Museums: Tel Aviv – Jaffa
 
Various museums operate in Tel Aviv – Jaffa, the treasures of which form a wide sweep of art and culture products, starting in archeological finds and including prose and poetry.
 
Founded in 1953 and situated in Ramat Aviv, the Eretz Israel Museum (The Land of Israel Museum), is actually a large collection of museums including the following branches: the glass museum, museum of ceramics, Kadman coins museum, copper museum (mines and metals in the countries of the Bible ), ethnography museum and the folklore museum, Tel Kassila museum, the center of human being and his toil, Planetarium, garden of views of the Land of Israel and its sites, reference library, mosaic square and wine presses.

An important focal point in the field of plastic art is Tel Aviv Museum of Art, offering permanent and changing exhibitions in the home site of the museum at Shaul Hamelech Boulevard and in the Helena Rubenstein Pavilion, adjacent to the Mann Auditorium. Among the permanent collections, one will find the best of Israeli painting and sculpture.
 
The graphic collection of the museum includes over 20,000 prints and drawings. Among the exceptional pieces presented by the museum: Unique selection of early pictures and sculptures of Archipanko and the work of Chagall, donated to the museum before its foundation.

Inside the Helena Rubenstein Pavilion is a permanent display of the well-known Rubenstein collection of miniature rooms.

The Jewish Diaspora Museum, (Beith Hatefusoth), situated within the Tel Aviv University campus, has earned itself an honorable place in the whole Jewish world as the first museum devoted to the history of the Jewish people and its contribution to creation and human culture during over two thousand years.

The permanent exhibition at the Diaspora Museum tells the story of the Jewish nation in Diaspora, by means of drawings, video clips, movies and other means. The permanent display concentrates on different subjects, among them "the family circle", "the Jews", "the community", "faith", "in the family of the nations" and "the return to Zion".
 
In additional to these museums, Tel Aviv is doted with small museums, which have an individuality of their own: The Ben Gurion House, the Bible Museum, the Palmach Museum, the Hagana Museum, the Etzel Museum, the Author's House, Rubin Museum and the Jabotinski Institute. Each of these small museums contains a whole world, Bialik's House, for example, contains the books, furniture and the belongings of the national poet. The private library of Bialik has been preserved, including all three thousand and more of his books. The archive at Bialik House contains thousands of handwritten works, forming the biggest collection existing of the poet's work.
